In August 2024, Airborne Solutions launched a unique project in partnership with Longueuil's École Nationale d'Aérotechnique (ÉNA) in a well-established educational activity... The aim?

Students complete pre-flight inspection before take-off

Every autumn, for many years now, ÉNA's new avionics students have had the unique opportunity to sit in a cockpit and experience flying an aircraft. In winter, aircraft maintenance students take the same kind of flight, but with a different pedagogical focus.

A tradition enriched by Airborne Solution

Airborne Solution is proud to provide on-demand pilots for these educational flights, which use the Cessna 172s of the AéroClub de l'ÉNA, much to the delight of the students. This collaboration maintains an essential tradition in the practical training of future aeronautical professionals.

Combining theory and practice

‍Thisprogram, firmly rooted in the ÉNA curriculum, is designed to enrich the training of aircraft maintenance technicians. Usually focused on aircraft ground maintenance, these future experts have the chance to discover how systems work in flight, right from the cockpit.

This transition from the classroom to the cockpit enables them to see in real time the impact of the systems they maintain: engines, hydraulic systems, on-board electronics and flight controls. The students gain a better understanding of the importance of precision and coordination between the various systems for safe, high-performance flight.

Airborne Solution: experienced pilots at the service of education

‍Byproviding experienced pilots for these instructional flights, Airborne Solution actively contributes to the training of ÉNA students. Our pilots share their expertise and passion, offering students a practical and professional perspective on flying. The flights take place on Cessna 172s, ideal aircraft for learning and discovery.

ÉNA de Longueuil: at the heart of Québec aeronautics

‍Locatedon the MET - Aéroport métropolitain de Montréal site in Longueuil, ÉNA is a flagship institution for aerotechnical training in Quebec. Its proximity to active airport facilities offers students a unique learning environment, where theory and practice come together on a daily basis.

‍Ameaningful, forward-looking partnership

‍AirborneSolution is proud to be part of this long-standing educational initiative and looks forward to contributing its expertise to enrich the students' experience. By supporting these educational activities with our pilots, we hope to contribute to the skills development of future aviation professionals. This partnership represents an important step forward in our commitment to innovation and excellence in the training of aviation talent.
